The Headquarters 14 Brigade, Nigerian Army, Ohafia, Abia, addressed an online report highlighting soldiers and family members’ grievances about the lack of water for cooking during the yuletide season at the barracks.
Acting Assistant Director, Army Public Relations, Lt. Innocent Omale, clarified in a statement that while the issue of water reticulation has been a challenge, proactive measures, including repairing bad boreholes, have been taken to improve conditions.
The current Brigade Commander’s commitment has led to increased power supply and ongoing efforts to enhance water availability and other amenities, demonstrating the Brigade’s dedication to personnel and their families’ welfare.
The statement assures continued prioritization of improving living conditions within the barracks.
