“In a significant initiative, the Mind Management is poised to provide mental health education to an impressive 200,000 members of the Nigerian Police Force in Lagos.

Recognizing the paramount importance of mental health within the armed forces, police, and paramilitary units, especially during challenging economic periods, this endeavor seeks to address a societal issue affecting one in four individuals and contribute to combatting the underlying causes of suicide.

Joy emphasized, Our nationwide road tour aims to raise awareness among 200,000 police officers, visiting barracks across the country to offer training and awareness programs on this pressing matter.

Our objective is not only to benefit the officers themselves but also to positively impact their families and friends by improving their mindset through training.

The foundation’s commitment extends beyond training; they plan to establish counseling and mental health correctional centers in every police barracks and office throughout all 36 states, beginning with Lagos police commands.

Furthermore, they call upon the government and corporate entities to join them in their campaign against this alarming trend.

Assistant Inspector General of Police, Mr. Idowu Owohunwa, the Commissioner of Police for Lagos State, expressed his support for the mental health awareness training, acknowledging the vulnerability of Nigerian police officers to depression and PTSD during their prime years of service.
