In preparation for the upcoming off-cycle governorship elections in Bayelsa, Imo, and Kogi States, scheduled for November 11, 2023, Inspector-General of Police Olukayode Egbetokun has directed the deployment of an additional 220 operational vehicles, which includes water cannons and Armoured Personnel Carriers, to these three states to enhance security measures.
The announcement was made by the Force Public Relations Officer, Olumuyiwa Adejobi, who emphasized the IG’s call for peace among stakeholders in the region.
