The Lord’s Chosen Charismatic Revival Ministries has responded to the recent online controversy surrounding a viral testimony, denying any fabrication of the account in question.
Pastor Chidi Louis, Head of Public Relations and Media for the church, addressed the allegations about a member’s testimony that had circulated online. He explained that the viral video, which purportedly showed a woman claiming to have disarmed four armed robbers and taken an AK-27 rifle, was misrepresented.
Louis clarified that the woman’s testimony referred to a dream, not an actual event. Nigerians should disregard the fake video, he urged, encouraging the public to visit the church’s official platforms for the full testimony.
He also warned against the dangers of believing everything posted online, as many bloggers distort content to mock and discredit the work of God.
The church’s media department similarly denounced the video as misleading and encouraged viewers to seek the unedited version of the testimony on the church’s TikTok account, which confirms that the woman’s experience was indeed a dream.
The viral controversy began when a video showed a woman claiming to have overpowered four armed robbers and taken an AK-27 rifle. A pastor later corrected her in the clip, pointing out that she meant an AK-47.
