Brentford and the English Premier League (EPL) have rallied behind Frank Onyeka after he was subjected to racial abuse. Following Brentford’s remarkable 2-0 victory over Chelsea, which saw goals from Ethan Pinnock and Bryan Mbuemo, Onyeka came on as a substitute and made significant contributions to the team’s historic win.

However, his outstanding performance was marred when an angry fan on social media directed racial slurs at him, calling him a monkey wanker.

In response to this incident, Brentford has taken a stand in support of their Nigerian star.

The club has launched an investigation into the matter and issued a statement denouncing the racist abuse, expressing their disappointment and calling for social media platforms to take responsibility for such incidents.

The Premier League has also strongly condemned the racial abuse and offered its support to both Frank Onyeka and the club.

They have pledged to collaborate with the relevant authorities to ensure that the individual responsible faces severe consequences.

Frank Onyeka, who has made 49 Premier League appearances since joining Brentford in 2020, is on the verge of playing his 50th game for the team, scheduled against West Ham on Saturday.
