Mo Zhotian Construction Company, a prominent Chinese engineering firm, has bestowed 600 scholarships upon students at Igwebuike Grammar School in Awka, Anambra State.
These scholarships, spanning one academic year, cater to students from SS1 to SS3. Tu Makuan, the company’s managing director, underscored the scholarships as a testament to their commitment to bolstering the Nigerian education system.
These scholarships are a core facet of the company’s corporate social responsibility, aligning with Governor Soludo’s free education initiative.
Moreover, the company aspires to extend further educational support should they secure more projects in Anambra State. Mo Zhotian Construction Company, the entity responsible for erecting Solution Fun City, expressed its admiration for the school’s close proximity to their construction site, motivating their philanthropic endeavor.
Professor Ngozi Chuma-Udeh, Anambra State’s Commissioner for Education, lauded the scholarships as a recognition of the relentless effort and dedication displayed by both teachers and students at Igwebuike Grammar School.
She extended her heartfelt gratitude to the company and encouraged other organizations to follow suit, exemplifying corporate responsibility.
Professor Chuma-Udeh reiterated her admiration for the unwavering commitment exhibited by the school’s students and teachers, underscoring their well-earned success.
The commissioner emphasized the profound connection between diligence and achievement, expressing her satisfaction in witnessing a company that recognizes and rewards these qualities through scholarships.
Chinedu Anago, the school’s senior prefect, conveyed profound gratitude to the firm for their generosity.
He pledged the students’ continued dedication to their studies, intending to justify the scholarships and show their heartfelt appreciation for the opportunity. Anago also expressed his immense pride in being a student at Igwebuike Grammar School.
