The Israel Defense Forces have officially reported that 16 soldiers were killed during the ongoing conflict in the region.
This includes 15 soldiers who died in combat with Hamas militants within Gaza and one who was killed outside of the territory.
Additionally, there have been clashes with other militants along the Israel-Lebanon border, resulting in the deaths of eight more Israeli soldiers.
The situation remains very tense and dangerous with concerns about further escalation.
