Kpakpando Foundation, an NGO established 18 years ago in Imo State by Senator Osita Izunaso on October 30, 2015, has been instrumental in empowering more than 2,000 individuals with disabilities.
Senator Izunaso, representing the Imo West senatorial district, has shown unwavering dedication to the cause of assisting physically-challenged individuals.
The foundation has made a significant impact by providing a wide range of empowerment items, including sewing machines, grinding machines, wheelchairs, laptops, gas burners, cartons of Indomie noodles, and other essential supplies to these special citizens.
Senator Izunaso expressed his gratitude to both local and international generous donors who have consistently supported the foundation’s noble mission.
Nationwide, the foundation has empowered over 10,000 individuals with disabilities, offering scholarships, housing, business opportunities, capital, and various welfare packages.
Honorable Justice Paul Onumajulu, the former Chief Judge of Imo State, praised Senator Izunaso for his philanthropic endeavors, recognizing him as a great son of Oru nation, Imo State, and Nigeria as a whole. Former Governor Chief Ikedi Ohakim also extended his appreciation to Senator Izunaso for his commitment to assisting the less privileged, even in challenging economic times, and urged other politicians to follow his example.
Uzoma Ezikeugo, a recipient of a wheelchair from Orsu Local Government Area, conveyed his heartfelt gratitude to Senator Izunaso and offered prayers for his continued blessings.
He also encouraged fellow politicians to take inspiration from Senator Izunaso’s humanitarian gestures.
