According to a statement released by Mr. Emeka Ezeh, Head of Corporate Communications at the Enugu Electricity Distribution Company, the entire state of Imo is currently plunged into darkness due to an ongoing industrial strike by organized labor unions.
The union has taken action by shutting down the Egbu Transmission Station, which is the primary source of electricity supply for the region.
EEDC acknowledges the inconvenience this situation has caused its customers and expresses hope for a swift resolution to the issue.
The company has also assured the people of Imo that they are prepared to restore power once the industrial action is concluded and is dedicated to enhancing its services for their esteemed customers.
