Nigerian Army Have Effectively Liberated Two NYSC Members Who Were Abducted In Katsina.

Personnel from the Nigerian Army and the Nigeria Police Force have effectively liberated two National Youth Service Corps members who were abducted in Katsina State.

These corps members were taken by bandits while traveling from Edo State in the Yargoje community of Kankara Local Government Area. In a statement by Brig.

Gen. Onyema Nwachukwu, the Director of Army Public Relations, it was reported that the rescued corps members are currently undergoing medical treatment.

The joint operation conducted by the 17 Brigade Nigerian Army and the Nigerian Police on November 2, 2023, resulted in the safe return of the abducted individuals.

The rapid response and rescue efforts of the security forces successfully freed the victims from their captors.

The rescued corps members are now receiving the necessary medical care and support to ensure their physical and emotional well-being, and they are currently in the custody of the Nigerian Police in Kankara.
