In a shocking turn of events at Katsina’s Maulud celebration, armed bandits launched a deadly assault on Kusa, Musawa Local Government Area of Katsina State late Sunday night.
Regrettably, the attack resulted in the tragic loss of at least 20 lives and the abduction of multiple individuals.
Reports indicate that at approximately 11:05 pm on Sunday, a group of assailants wreaked havoc during the Maulud celebration, causing panic and fear as they indiscriminately fired their weapons.
The ensuing violence claimed the lives of 20 innocent people, while others were forcibly taken hostage.
The Police Public Relations Officer has officially confirmed the attack, revealing that 18 individuals sustained injuries, with two eventually succumbing to their wounds.
Ongoing investigations aim to bring the perpetrators of this heinous act to justice.
