At the 2023 MTV EMAs, Nigerian singer Divine Ikubor, also known as Rema, and international artists Doja Cat, Nicki Minaj, and Taylor Swift claimed significant victories.
Rema won the newly-introduced Best Afrobeats category, triumphing over Afrobeats heavyweights Davido and Burna Boy. The event took place on November 5 at Paris Nord Villepinte, France.
