The Senate Committee on Navy, led by Senator Gbenga Daniel, has announced a one-week investigation into the controversial N5 billion presidential yacht purchase.
Amid public outcry and concerns over transparency, the committee aims to uncover the facts, dispel uncertainties, and ensure a comprehensive understanding of the situation.
Additionally, the committee plans to visit naval facilities, prioritize training and welfare, advocate for increased funding for the Nigerian Navy, and support the modernization of the fleet, operational capabilities, and naval research and development agencies.
