A visit to Ahmadu Bello University (ABU) in Zaria celebrated Prof. Umar Ka’oje for voluntarily refunding N1,153,953.36 mistakenly paid after concluding his teaching contract with the nation’s military academy.
The commandant, extending appreciation, visited ABU following a commendation letter from the NDA on September 11. Dr. Rahanatu Lawal, HOD of Political Science and International Studies, welcomed the commandant and lauded Prof. Ka’oje’s moral courage.
The commandant praised the department’s commitment to integrity, highlighting Prof. Ka’oje’s rare honesty in Africa and pledged further honor. Prof. Ka’oje commended the academy for recognizing and rewarding honesty, expressing gratitude.
