On November 6, 2023, during the federal civil service director exam, 61 directors fell short, scoring below 50 percent, and lost their chance to become permanent secretaries.

Out of the 81 directors who participated, only 20 succeeded and advanced to the ICT proficiency stage.

The recruitment process, initiated on October 9, 2023, includes a written exam, ICT proficiency assessment, and an oral interview, aiming to conclude by the end of November.

President Bola Tinubu approved this process in a memo dated August 21, 2023.
