According to a statement by Florence Okpe, the correspondent of the Ogun State Sector Command of the Federal Road Safety Corps, the accident occurred at approximately 8:32 am on Friday.
It involved a Mazda bus with the registration number XV945EPE at the Kara section of the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway.
The statement revealed, A fatal crash took place on Friday, November 10, 2023, at around 08:32 hours, at the Kara turning of the inbound section of the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway.
A total of 14 people were involved, with two fatalities, 10 injuries, and two individuals escaping unharmed.
The crash involved two vehicles, a white Mazda Bus with registration number XV945EPE and an unregistered white and blue Howo Sino Truck.
The primary factors contributing to the accident were route violation and dangerous driving.
The injured victims have been transported to Famobis Hospital, and the deceased have been taken to Idera mortuary.
