INEC Declares Hope Uzodimma Winner of Imo Governorship Election

Hope Uzodimma of the All Progressives Congress secures victory in Imo State governorship election, announced by INEC’s Returning Officer, Prof. Abayomi Fasina.

Uzodimma garnered 540,308 votes, while the closest contender, Samuel Anyanwu of the Peoples Democratic Party, trailed with 71,503 votes.

The results, declared at the state collation centre in Owerri, reveal Uzodimma’s dominance across all 27 Local Government Areas.

The swearing-in for his second term is set for January 14, 2024.
