The Lagos State Police Command is actively pursuing the individuals responsible for the killing of politician Samsondeen Ali in Oworonshoki.
The incident occurred following a disagreement with suspected hoodlums involved in land grabbing.
Ali, who was contesting the councillorship position, was attacked while attempting to erect a fence behind his house.
The assailants demanded money, struck him with planks, and later transported him to a medical center, where he was pronounced dead.
The case has been transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department, and the police are diligently searching for the fleeing suspects.
