The Saudi Arabian Embassy in Nigeria clarified that individuals recently deported upon entry failed to meet the country’s entry conditions.
The embassy emphasized the importance of adhering to Saudi Arabia’s procedures and laws, urging all travelers to verify document conformity before departure.
The visa cancellations affected not only Nigerian citizens but also citizens of other countries.
The cancellation of visas for 264 passengers arriving in Jeddah from Nigeria on Air Peace, most of whom were on a pilgrimage, raised questions, with the Saudi authorities citing incorrect information submitted for visa categories.
The incident occurred during a flight from Lagos to Jeddah via Kano.
