The Kwara State Police Command has released additional information regarding the tragic murder of Toyin Bamidele, an HND1 student at the Federal Polytechnic, Offa.
Ms. Bamidele was discovered lifeless in her Dapson area hostel on Thursday, leading to the arrest of a suspect by the police.
According to the Kwara State Police Command, they received information on November 16, 2023, at approximately 1720Hrs about the alleged murder of Toyin Bamidele.
The incident unfolded in a private hostel in the Dapson Extension area, where the 23-year-old student resided.
Toyin was found in her rented apartment, lying in a pool of blood, displaying visible signs of violence, including marks on her face and neck.
Upon receiving the report, a police investigation team was dispatched to the scene. Subsequently, the victim’s body was transported to Wale Clinic and Hospital, where a doctor pronounced her dead. The body is now in the morgue awaiting an autopsy.
The police commissioner has expressed a firm commitment to unraveling the details of the crime and ensuring the safety of citizens.
The command urges the public to remain vigilant during this period, emphasizing the importance of awareness as a precaution against potential threats.
