The Court of Appeal in Abuja’s decision to remove Governor Caleb Mutfwang of Plateau State led to a clash between the Peoples Democratic Party and the All Progressives Congress.
The court instructed INEC to revoke Mutfwang’s certificate of return and issue a new one to Nentawe Goshwe of the APC, declared as the rightful winner of the March 18 governorship election.
Mutfwang became the third opposition governor ousted by the Court of Appeal in just three days, joining others from Zamfara and Kano states.
The PDP expressed concern about the judgments, while the APC defended the process, stating it was misunderstood by those questioning its legitimacy.
