Dr. Tunji Olugbodi, Vice Chairman of Verdant Zeal Group Ltd and Convener of Innovention Series, recently addressed Olabisi Onabanjo University, advocating for the federal government to investigate abundant lithium and uranium deposits in states such as Nasarawa, Kwara, Kogi, Ekiti, and Cross River.

He emphasized the potential economic benefits, especially in addressing current challenges.

Olugbodi highlighted the significance of these solid materials for manufacturing batteries in the age of Electronic Vehicles (EVs).

He proposed that harnessing these resources could be a swift path to national prosperity and urged the government to leverage this opportunity to tackle youth unemployment.

Drawing parallels, Olugbodi pointed out the global recognition garnered by Nigerian musicians like Burna Boy, Wizkid, Rema, and others.

He emphasized the impact of their achievements in contrast to the recognition received from political leaders since 1999.

Prof. Dele Odunlami, Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences at OOU, remarked that the lecture, in its second edition, aimed to stimulate ideas and contribute to national discourse for finding solutions to prevailing challenges.
