President Bola Tinubu’s Administration Proposes Four-Year Education Improvement Plan.

During the 35th convocation ceremony at Yaba College of Technology (YABATECH), Minister of Education Tahir Mamman revealed the administration’s intent to address education challenges through a comprehensive four-year strategic plan.

This initiative, discussed at the national stakeholders’ workshop on October 19, 2023, aims to reshape the nation’s educational future.

Representing the Minister, Blessing Azorbo highlighted issues like funding and teacher training.

The Minister emphasized collaborative efforts beyond the government and urged stakeholders to complement these initiatives.

Addressing YABATECH, the Minister tasked the institution to address current challenges and innovate tools for farming and manufacturing.

YABATECH’s Rector, Ibraheem Abdul, announced the graduation of 7,717 students, with 254 achieving top scores.

Holding the top rank for six consecutive years, the 76-year-old institution aspires to become a global brand under Abdul’s leadership.

Notably, YABATECH is the first public institution to receive an ISO certificate, marking a significant achievement.

Within six months of Abdul’s leadership, YABATECH obtained accreditation for 22 courses from the National Board for Technical Education and introduced two new programs, showcasing remarkable progress.
