Luke Gum, a middle-aged Uber driver, is pursuing justice after claiming he was brutally assaulted by officials from the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) during a traffic incident in the Ikoyi area of Lagos State.
According to Gum, the altercation began when his car was rear-ended by a vehicle suspected to belong to a senior EFCC official.
Despite his attempt to report the matter to the police, Gum alleges that he was forcibly taken to the EFCC office, where he endured physical assault.
The EFCC spokesperson, Mr. Dele Oyewale, disputes Gum’s account, stating that the scuffle occurred between Gum and the EFCC official’s driver.
The details remain contentious, with conflicting narratives from both parties.
