Former Akwa Ibom State Governor, Udom Emmanuel Commends Ibom Air For Acquiring New Airbus A220-300 Series Aircraft.

Mr. Emmanuel, the founder of Ibom Air, witnessed the delivery of the first A220-300, marking a milestone for the airline established in 2019 during his administration.

In a recent visit to the Dubai Air show on November 16, 2021, a firm agreement was reached with Airbus for the purchase of 10 new aircraft.

The inspection and reception of the initial aircraft took place at Airbus’ Mirabel facility in Montreal, Canada. Notable figures present included Airbus CEO Benoit Schultz and Ibom Air’s Managing Director, Captain Mfon Udom.

Emphasizing Ibom Air’s position as Nigeria’s first airline to receive the Airbus A220, Mr. Emmanuel expressed satisfaction with the realization of his vision for the airline’s significant role in the aviation sector.

The A220-300, known for advanced technology and fuel efficiency, extends Ibom Air’s reach to destinations across Africa, with a range of up to 3,450 nautical miles.

CEO of Ibom Air, Mr. Mfon Udom, shared his enthusiasm, viewing this addition to the fleet as a major achievement and reinforcing their commitment to delivering premium airline services to customers.
