The Nigerian government, led by Minister Festus Keyamo, is set to blacklist airline regulators responsible for flight disruptions.

This decision follows a recent incident where a United Nigeria Airlines plane diverted to Asaba instead of Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport.

In a bid to enhance aviation safety, Keyamo mandated Nigerian pilots and cabin crew in all wet leases entering the country.

The Minister also instructed the Nigerian Safety Investigation Bureau to provide a comprehensive report on recent air accidents within 10 days.

Emphasizing the need for familiarity with Nigerian terrain, Keyamo directed the NCAA to summon all wet lease pilots and crew for briefing, enforcing sanctions on negligent regulators and ensuring Nigerian involvement in flight operations.
