In response to protests by the Kwankwasiyya Movement following the Appeal Court’s decision to remove Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf, Shehu Maigari, the vice chairman of Kano State’s APC, reassured that the party remains dedicated to the Peace Accord signed at the Kano Police Command.
Maigari urged citizens to stay calm, emphasizing that the state is peaceful despite isolated breaches of the accord through protests.
He called on law enforcement to enforce the accord and highlighted that, despite claims of tension, daily activities continue unaffected for the majority in Kano.
