Mustapha Yekeen, a Somolu resident, expresses frustration over a hefty N1.3 million electricity bill issued by Ikeja Electric.

The printing press operator claims a mix-up in names, asserting that Ikeja Electric confused his account with another customer’s.

Mustapha, who began using Ikeja Electric in 2016 and transitioned to prepaid in 2018, alleges that officials insist he pays the debt.

Despite settling previous debts, he faces persistent demands. Ikeja Electric’s spokesperson, Kingsley Okotie, acknowledges the seriousness, promising an investigation and urging adherence to company procedures for resolution.
