Governor Ahmed Aliyu of Sokoto State has recently given the green light to 10 new projects totaling over N18 billion.
These initiatives encompass road construction and rural electrification, aiming to modernize the state and enhance residents’ lives.
Executed by various agencies, the projects are anticipated to generate employment, upgrade infrastructure, and propel the state’s advancement.
Nasir Danstoho, Sokoto State’s Commissioner for Works, revealed that the executive session approved a N2.189 billion contract for the Runjin Sambo inner road construction.
This endeavor, assigned to a reputable construction company, is geared towards bolstering infrastructure and elevating living standards. The government remains steadfast in ensuring the project’s success.”
Sokoto State’s government has greenlit significant construction projects, such as culvert construction along Silame-Bimji road (costing N2.244 billion), the transition from generator-powered to solar-powered streetlights (N1.75 billion), and the installation of streetlights along five new roads (N97 million).
These endeavors align with the state’s commitment to improving infrastructure and the well-being of its residents, foreseeing a positive impact on Sokoto State’s populace.
