In a heartbreaking incident in Ugborikoko community, Uvwie Local Government Area of Delta State, a young man and his girlfriend tragically lost their lives after inhaling fumes from a generator locked inside their apartment overnight.
The unidentified man had recently celebrated his girlfriend’s birthday at a nightclub before the unfortunate incident occurred.
Reports reveal that after leaving the party, the couple returned to the lady’s shop, where they turned on a generator before falling asleep, leading to their demise.
The lifeless bodies were discovered by neighbors in the early hours of Monday. DSP Bright Edafe, the state Police Public Relations Officer, confirmed the incident during a conversation with journalists on Tuesday.
