The EFCC is actively seeking Olu Agunloye, the former Minister of Power and Steel, regarding suspicions of his involvement in a $6 billion fraud.

Anyone with information on his whereabouts is urged to report to the nearest police station or the commission. Agunloye was invited for questioning by the EFCC concerning the Mambila hydropower contract, but he declined.

Former President Obasanjo accused him of mismanaging the project and questioned the approval of a $6 billion contract without Federal Executive Council approval.

Agunloye defended himself, stating that the original Mambilla Power Project contract was a build-operate-and-transfer awarded during his tenure, requiring no government payment, as the company was supposed to fully fund the project.

The EFCC also queried Agunloye about a controversial payment linked to his bank account.
