Akinwunmi Mariam Oluwajokotola, a Siwes student from the Ogun State Institute of Technology Igbesa, reported that Dr. Tunde Pate, Deputy Director-General of the APC Presidential Campaign Council, highlighted the administration’s commitment to achieving universal health coverage during a visit to Kano State. Alhaji Kashim Ibrahim-Imam led the APC delegation.
Pate emphasized President Tinubu’s goal of aligning with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly ‘No One Left Behind.’ The Ministry of Health and Social Welfare is actively working towards Universal Health Coverage (UHC) as part of this commitment.
Encouraging individual responsibility, Pate urged Nigerians to contribute to the nation’s health transformation by maintaining personal health through healthy living and regular exercise.
He also stressed the importance of federal and state government collaboration to ensure widespread access to quality healthcare.
Minister of State for Health, Dr. Tunji Alausa, reiterated the federal government’s dedication to partnering with state governments for the provision of quality healthcare.
He expressed eagerness to collaborate with the World Health Organization (WHO) to achieve these healthcare goals.
