A full day post-resolution on Ondo’s political deadlock, Governor Akeredolu’s expected letter officially delegating power to Deputy Lucky Aiyedatiwa is still pending at the State House of Assembly.

Despite assurances, the awaited document did not reach the Assembly on Tuesday, leaving Speaker Olamide Oladiji and other key officials waiting in anticipation.

President Tinubu’s second intervention in the state’s political turmoil resulted in an alleged agreement to transfer power to Aiyedatiwa, given the governor’s health.

Chief Press Secretary Richard Olatunde confirmed Akeredolu’s intent to inform the Assembly about his return to Germany for medical leave and the power transfer to Aiyedatiwa.

However, as of Tuesday night, the Assembly had not received the official letter.
