In the North, only the affluent and influential thrive, Abdulmalik, also known as Malik, hails from Bauchi State, displaying a vibrant spirit despite navigating Warri in a wheelchair to seek alms. Saturday Tribune encountered him at Ginuwa Junction, where his impassioned plea resonated.
Abdulmalik, 15, shared his story of leaving impoverished parents in Bauchi to hustle in Warri for their sake.
Yearning to return to school, poverty forced him out after junior secondary, yet he dreams of graduating for a brighter future.
His immediate focus is survival, acknowledging the tough circumstances his siblings face back home.
