In a recent video recorded at a homecoming reception for former Nigerian High Commissioner Sharafa Tunji-Ishola, Pastor Adeboye shared his belief that Nigeria has a promising future.
During the event, he made a prediction about the potential return of Jesus Christ on an unspecified October 1st in the future.
The video captured Pastor Adeboye’s visit to Tunji-Ishola, who had recently been recalled by President Bola Tinubu.
Adeboye commended Tunji-Ishola for his invitation to the Nigeria House while serving as an ambassador, expressing God’s love for Nigeria and Nigerians.
He also supported the significance of October 1 as the country’s Independence Day.
Referring to biblical references, Pastor Adeboye suggested that the Bible hints at October 1st as a possible date for Jesus’s return, associating it with the feast of trumpets in the biblical calendar.
Despite the uncertainty about the specific year, Adeboye emphasized that October 1st holds special significance in the biblical context.
Adeboye speculated that God may have influenced the choice of October 1st as Nigeria’s Independence Day, linking it to the country’s tumultuous history.
Despite concerns about Nigeria’s future, Adeboye expressed his strong belief in the nation’s bright prospects, citing God’s special interest in the country. He encouraged optimism and hope for the future.
