Kashim Shettima, the Vice President, assured on Wednesday that Nigeria’s economy and vital sectors would rebound in the coming months.
During a visit by the second cohort of the Legislative Mentorship Initiative, Shettima encouraged graduates to channel their potential towards shaping a prosperous future within the country instead of seeking opportunities abroad.
In a statement titled ‘Let’s make Nigeria green instead of seeking greener pastures, VP Shettima tells graduates,’ Senior Special Assistant Stanley Nkwocha conveyed Shettima’s call for youths to stay in Nigeria, emphasizing their ability to contribute to the nation’s growth.
Shettima acknowledged current challenges but expressed confidence in overcoming them. He highlighted the graduates’ digital skills, urging them to utilize these capabilities for national development.
Shifting the perception of leadership to intellectual agility, Shettima emphasized the importance of robust problem-solving skills over physical strength.
Addressing the LMI graduates, Shettima called for active participation in shaping Nigeria’s destiny, recognizing their potential to transform the nation’s landscape.
In response, LMI founder Mr. Gbajabiamila commended the cohort as a generation poised to achieve greater milestones, stressing the need for mentorship and adaptation to changing times.
