The people of Agbado/Oke-Odo Local Council Development Area have commended the Executive Chairman of the local council, Hon. David Oladapo Famuyiwa, for his developmental programmes and provision of amenities that can improve the lives of the people.
The commendations were differently expressed at the commissioning of two Public Healthcare Centres and Area Office block at Alagbado and Ajasa communities on Friday.
Leading the people to appreciate Hon. Famuyiwa was the Alajasa of Ajasaland , His Royal Majesty, Oba Sulaimon Suberu, for erecting a healthcare centre in the town, before Onimeiran of Meiranland, Oba (Dr.) Samuel Awoyemi Oroja, praised the effort of the Executive Chairman for improving the economic welfare of the people through provision of infrastructural development.
At the award of excellence and appreciation of retired officers of the LCDA, the Executive Chairman ,Hon. Famuyiwa, said the development of the three projects that were commissioned was in fulfilment of the promises he made to the people.
“I can assure you that we shall not depart from the path of developing the local council area with profitable infrastructures or fall short of your expectation in the coming year”, the Council boss said.
Hon. Famuyiwa promised to take off with two road projects in Abule-Egba and Alagbado in January 2024; saying that all on-going projects would be completed in the coming year.
The Executive Chairman used the occasion to reward some serving and retired members of staff who have meritoriously served the government in the year with awards and gifts.
Among those who were rewarded was the photographer in the Public Affairs Unit of the local council development area, Mr. Ajayi Joseph, who was given an Oustanding Staff of The Year Award.
