Former Minister Farouq Dismisses Allegations of Involvement in N37bn Fraud Probe

The ex-Minister of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management, and Social Development, Hadija Sadiya Farouq, has refuted any connection to Mr. James Okwete, currently under investigation by the EFCC for alleged financial improprieties totaling N37 billion.

In a statement released by her media aide, Alexander Udeh, Farouq asserted that she neither knows Okwete nor has ever had him represent her in any capacity.

She addressed the accusations, emphasizing her commitment to defending her actions and stewardship during her tenure.
