The suspended Minister of Humanitarian Affairs, Dr. Betta Edu, faced a setback when denied access to President Tinubu at the Presidential Villa, following her suspension over financial controversies.
President Tinubu’s swift action earned commendation from the Community Advancement and Humanitarian Empowerment Initiative, while the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) was tasked with investigating alleged financial infractions.
Despite clearing security checks, Edu was blocked from meeting the president, and her access tag was withdrawn, leading to a stir in the civil society, emphasizing the need for accountability and thorough investigations into government officials’ conduct.
