Aloy Ejimakor, Special Counsel to Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), has criticized the Supreme Court for the unusual and unacceptable delay in handling Kanu’s case.
In a press release, Ejimakor urged the judicial and administrative leadership of the apex court to promptly transmit Kanu’s file to the Federal High Court and provide certified true copies of the judgment to his lawyers.
The delay, he emphasized, is legally injurious to Kanu, who has been detained for over two and a half years without immediate prospects of trial and exoneration.
