Federal Government Launches Panel To Investigate 107 Private Universities.

The Federal Ministry of Education has initiated an inter-ministerial committee tasked with scrutinizing the operations of private and foreign universities in Nigeria.

The committee, including key figures such as Prof. Ishaq Oloyede, Jamila Bio-Ibrahim, and Yusuf Tuggar, will specifically focus on private universities established in the last 15 years.

The investigation aims to evaluate facilities, management structures, funding, and staff composition of these institutions. Notably, 107 private universities established within the mentioned timeframe are subject to this inquiry.
