From January 13 to February 11, 2024, the 34th edition of the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) will captivate football enthusiasts as 24 teams, including host Ivory Coast, compete in the prestigious tournament.

The Super Eagles of Nigeria, boasting a rich AFCON history with three titles, kick off their quest on January 14 against Equatorial Guinea, aiming for a fourth triumph.

As expectations soar among Nigerian fans globally, coach Jose Peseiro expresses his ambition to clinch the AFCON title. The team, echoing the Let’s do it again slogan initiated by the Nigeria Football Federation, is determined to replicate the success of a decade ago in South Africa.

While some skeptics question the team’s current dominance, emphasizing a squad largely composed of foreign-based professionals, the Super Eagles remain the focus of attention.

With a dynamic attacking profile and seasoned players, the hope is that the team, during their camp in Abu Dhabi, addresses any weaknesses for a strong showing at the tournament.

This call is also directed at the Nigeria Football Federation to provide robust support, both financially and otherwise, to ensure the team’s success.

As the 34th AFCON unfolds, it becomes a crucial platform for CAF to showcase Africa’s capability in organizing a standout tournament. The rallying cry for the Super Eagles echoes: Let’s do it again.
