Rt. Hon. Benjamin Kalu, the Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, highlighted the importance of peace and security in the South-East as a crucial factor for seeking the release of Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra.
Kalu, speaking in his Bende country home, emphasized the need for strategic negotiations rather than confrontational approaches, stating that achieving Kanu’s release requires careful consideration and thoughtful steps, not just public discussions.
Additionally, he addressed the broader national issues, advocating for economic policies that alleviate poverty and legislative measures promoting economic growth, diversification, and job creation.
