The Ondo State Governor, Mr. Rotimi Akeredolu, has rejected Mr. Lucky Aiyedatiwa’s apology for the political turmoil in the state and remains steadfast in his call for an Assembly investigation. Dr. Doyin Odebowale, Senior Special Assistant on Special Duties and Strategy, representing the governor, pointed out that Akeredolu didn’t accept some of Aiyedatiwa’s claims in his apology. Akeredolu insists that his deputy should be held accountable by the state House of Assembly.
Aiyedatiwa, in his apology, blamed the ongoing crisis on desperate politicians in the state and denied sponsoring any protests against Akeredolu.
He thanked Akeredolu and the national leadership of the All Progressives Congress for their intervention in resolving the crisis.
However, Odebowale disagreed with Aiyedatiwa’s claims, stating that Governor Akeredolu doesn’t interfere in the affairs of the House of Assembly.
He also refuted the deputy governor’s denial of sponsoring protests against the governor. Odebowale emphasized that any allegations against Aiyedatiwa should be addressed in the House of Assembly.
