Pearl Oncology Specialist Hospital, dedicated to offering world-class cancer care in Nigeria, has elevated its services from a cancer clinic to a specialist cancer care center.
The hospital marked this milestone with the official opening of a new facility in Lagos state, celebrated with a grand launch event.
The inauguration ceremony, graced by notable figures including Mr. Kola Adesina, Managing Director of Sahara Group, and the Director General of the Nigeria Institute for Cancer Research and Treatment (NICRAT), witnessed the presence of several esteemed professors.
Dr. Omolola Salako, the Founder and Medical Director of the hospital, articulated the institution’s vision during her address. She emphasized the hospital’s commitment to becoming the premier destination for compassionate cancer care and striving towards the eradication of cancer in Africa.
Dr. Salako highlighted the hospital’s initiative, the TGIF cancer clinic, which offers discounted treatment to 70 cancer patients, aiming to alleviate the financial burdens associated with cancer care. Since its inception, the clinic has expanded into four cancer centers and has treated over four hundred patients.
Located in Lekki, Lagos state, the hospital offers specialized oncology services and cutting-edge facilities tailored to meet the diverse needs of cancer patients.
Serving as a beacon of quality cancer care across various communities, the hospital shares its clinical resources with other healthcare facilities.
Moreover, the hospital actively engages in raising awareness about cancer and ensures that patients and their families receive comprehensive support throughout their journey.
The chairman of the occasion, Mr. Adesina, and the Director General of NICRAT lauded the efforts of the hospital in bridging the gap in cancer care and reducing the financial burden on patients.
