Dr. Alex Otti, the Governor of Abia State, has underscored his commitment to prompt results and progress in the state. Commencing the reconstruction of the 67Km Umuahia-Uzuakoli-Akara-Ohafia Road on Wednesday, Otti stressed the urgency by engaging three contractors—Craneburg, Ferotex, and CCECC—to work concurrently on the project.

Expressing his desire for swift completion within specified standards, Otti emphasized the necessity for accessible roads to facilitate transportation of farm produce and enhance mobility for the people of Abia.

He encouraged leaders across the state to reinvest in their communities, promoting economic growth and improved living standards.

Otti reiterated the project’s aim to address infrastructure deficits and create opportunities for socio-economic advancement.

The state Commissioner for Works, Mr. Otumchere Oti, outlined the project’s three sections, emphasizing the transformation of the Umuahia to Uzuakoli route into a dual carriageway.

Grateful for the governor’s dedication to infrastructure development, Oti highlighted the comprehensive scope of the project, including road restoration, culvert and drainage construction, and street lighting installation.
