Alleged EFCC operatives reportedly conducted a raid at the Federal University of Technology, Akure (FUTA) in Ondo State, targeting students suspected of fraud.
Videos circulating on social media depict the operatives breaking into students’ lodges in the early hours of the morning, sparking outrage over their alleged heavy-handed tactics.
As of now, there has been no official comment from either the EFCC or FUTA regarding the incident.
J Brandy voices shock and concern over the alleged raid, questioning its appropriateness and expressing frustration with the agency’s tactics.
The incident follows the arrest of suspected internet fraudsters in Ile-Ife, Osun State, which triggered nationwide outrage.
Contacted for comment, the EFCC’s Head of Media and Publicity, Dele Oyewale, deferred response, requesting a callback in 20 minutes.
