Ifeanyi Ejiofor, representing Nnamdi Kanu, has taken legal action against Vincent Dike, the President-General of the Oraifite Improvement Union, seeking N50 billion in damages for alleged defamation.

Ejiofor contends that Dike’s remarks during a press conference were false and defamatory, causing significant harm to his personal and professional reputation.

The case is underway at the Federal Capital Territory High Court in Abuja.

Following the press conference where Dike allegedly made defamatory statements against Ejiofor, the latter’s legal team issued a notice demanding retraction.

Despite acknowledging receipt of the notice, Dike failed to retract the statements or respond.

This failure to retract forms a central issue in the ongoing legal proceedings.

Ejiofor asserts that Dike knowingly made false and damaging statements, prompting him to seek various remedies, including a public retraction and apology in three national newspapers with broad readership.

Additionally, Ejiofor seeks an undertaking from Dike to refrain from further defamatory publications concerning him.
