been made by the Coalition of South-East Youth Leaders to the Inspector General of Police, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), and Amnesty International regarding the arrest of whistleblower Comrade Chika Nwoba in Ebonyi State.
The petition addresses the alleged misappropriation of N3 billion in empowerment funds and Nwoba’s subsequent detention.

Comrade Chika Nwoba, the whistleblower, was apprehended by the Crack Team of the Ebonyi State Police Command for submitting a petition to the EFCC accusing Commissioner for Commerce and Industry, Chief Oguzor Offia-Nwaki, and three others of embezzling N3 billion earmarked to aid Ebonyi hawkers nationwide.
The commissioner refuted the allegations, denouncing Nwoba’s claims as baseless.
