APGA National Chairman Chief Edozie Njoku has emphasized that the party’s primary focus is on maintaining peace and stability within its ranks.

He stated that there are no plans to suspend Anambra State Governor, Prof. Charles Soludo. Suspending Governor Soludo is not on our agenda, Njoku confirmed. In fact, if we were to suspend him, the only beneficiaries would be the opposition parties.

The APGA chair praised the media for their unbiased coverage of the party’s internal issues, acknowledging the high standards of integrity upheld by many journalists.

Reflecting on the party’s recent internal conflicts, Njoku reiterated his commitment to reconciliation, inclusivity, and forgiveness to restore harmony.

He highlighted the importance of rebuilding members’ loyalty and confidence, considering it the main challenge for him and the National Working Committee (NWC).

No party is immune to challenges, but peace is essential. We’re working towards reconciliation, which won’t be straightforward. Nigeria’s difficulties have led to diverse opinions, and we recognize everyone’s right to their own perspective, Njoku said.

He revealed that the NWC did consider a proposal to suspend Governor Soludo, but the discussion reached an impasse with no consensus.

Njoku mentioned that the NWC is exploring various reconciliation strategies, and encouragingly, some estranged members have sent messages of goodwill and expressed a desire to rejoin the party.

He condemned attempts to create a divide between him and the governor, stressing that unity and cooperation are crucial for APGA to retain power in Anambra State.
